The universal consciousness which is I am framed

The universal consciousness which is 'I am'
by Edinburgh artist Mike Heseltine.

The painting explores the formless space found deep within us. It is our pure sense of self and has no form. It is not born nor dies, but instead an ever present awareness of form, which includes awareness of our thoughts. It is the eternal space within which everything is perceived. It is the ‘I’ in ‘I am’, the infinite ‘I’. It is Gods own sense of self.

In my picture, I am exploring the 'I' as being a universal consciousness, with no separation. It is empty of form and therefore not perceivable... thus no observer or observed. So the 'I' does not 'exist'. There is no separation for it to be observed or experienced. It is, perhaps, pure limitless consciousness?
