Letting time go by Mike Heseltine

Letting time go. Durham Cathedral.

Finding stillness in ourselves.

As I enter the cathedral, I feel the sun and the moon coming together in stillness.

While doing this drawing I sat in front of a tomb in Chichester Cathedral. I thought about all our ancestors and how they live on in us. Most of all, I thought about the stillness of the tomb, where their thoughts were now at rest. As I let go of my own thoughts, I shared their stillness. The symbol of the sun and the moon together, represents the absence of time.
